This problem and the following ones use the Northridge earthquake data set. We wish to answer the questions: Were homeowners more likely than renters to report emotional injuries as a result of the Northridge earthquake, controlling for age (RAGE), gender (RSEX), and ethnicity (NEWETHN)? Use V449, rent/own, as the outcome variable. To begin with, create dummy variables for each ethnic group. Calculate frequencies for each categorical variable, and histograms and descriptive statistics for each interval or ratio variable used. Comment on any unusual values.
