a) A café owner wants to know which type of beverage

(coffee, tea, or fruit juice) is most ordered by his customers alongside their breakfast, lunch, or dinner orders. He selects a random sample of days and records the type of beverages that are ordered by his customers alongside their meals.

After this, he performs a test on his collected data.

b) A perfume store wants to know whether the type of perfume fragrance affects the amount of purchases made (in dollars). It performs a test to see if the mean amount of purchase is the same for different types of perfume fragrances.

c) A study was conducted to determine if the kind of leisure activities (fishing, golf, or gardening) is preferred by one category of gender over the other. A group of men and women were randomly selected to perform a test.
