Find a research article in an area of interest to you that used MLM. Make sure the research focused on measured variables (a regression orientation) as opposed to latent variables (a structural equation modeling orientation). What program was used to conduct the MLM? What are the level 1 versus level 2 variables? Are there more than two levels? What was the order of model testing (Unconditional model, followed by the addition of what?)? Was is similar to the order used here? Are you able to interpret the results of the MLM using the suggestions in this chapter? What aspects of the reported findings are still puzzling to you?
