Do you support or oppose embryonic stem cell research?

All in all, which is more important: conducting stem cell research that might result in new medical cures, or not destroying the potential life of human embryos involved in this research?

In response to the first question, 61% supported stem cell research. But only 51% of those asked the second question thought conducting stem cell research was more important. Why do you think the second wording discouraged more people from supporting stem cell research?
