Fowlkes et al. (1988) reported results of a survey of employees of a large national corporation to determine how satisfaction depends on race, gender, age, and regional location. The data are at the book’s Web site (www.siar.ufl.edu/ aa/cda/cda.htm!). Fit a logit model to these data and carefully interpret the parameter estimates. Fowlkes etal. (1988) reported “The least-satisfied employees are less than 35 years of age, female, other (race), and work in the Northeast; .... The most satisfied group is greater than 44 years of age, male, other, and working in the Pacific or Mid-Atlantic regions; the odds of such employees being satisfied are about 3.5 to 1.” Show how these interpretations result from the fit of this model.
