Apr. 30 May 5 Paid Rigdon Company the amount owed on the note of March 1. Bought merchandise on account from Brent Company, $8,246; terms 2/10, n/30. June 4 Gave a 45-day, 10 percent note, dated June 4, or $8,246 to Brent Company to apply on account. July 19 Paid Brent Company the interest due on the note of June 4 and renewed the obligation by issuing a new 60-day, 10 percent note for $8,246 (2 entries). Sept. 17 Oct. 15 Dec. 14 Paid Brent Company the amount owed on the note of July 19. Borrowed $15,300 from River Bank for 60 days; discount rate is 10 percent. Accordingly, signed a discounted note for $15,300, dated October 15. Paid River Bank at maturity of loan.
