A loop of copper moving with constant velocity passes through regions of magnetic fi eld as indicated
Question:
A loop of copper moving with constant velocity passes through regions of magnetic fi eld as indicated in Figure Q21.12.
(a) Determine the direction of the current (if any) induced in the copper loop at each point, 1 through 5, along its path. Assume the fi eld is uniform and of constant magnitude inside each of the two dashed rectangles and zero outside.
(b) Rank the currents according to their magnitude from greatest to least for points 1 through 5. Indicate ties, if any.
