Electromagnetic waves are used to transmit television signals from a satellite that is in orbit around the Earth to the author’s home. Estimate how long such a signal takes to travel from the satellite to the ground. This satellite completes one orbit each day and is thus in a geosynchronous orbit (Chapter 5).
