(Interview) Call a local company and set up an interview with the firm’s cost or management accountant. Use the following questions as starting points for your interview.

• What is your educational background?

• What was your career path to attain this position?

• What are your most recurring tasks?

• What aspects of your job do you find to be the most fun? The most challenging?

• What college courses do you think would be the most helpful in preparing a person for your job? Why were these courses chosen?

a. Compare and contrast your interview answers with those of other stu¬ dents in the class.

b. Which one or two items from the interview were of the most benefit to you? Why?
