Soybean oil, a key ingredient in the sauces and dressings that Lancaster's specialty foods division makes for the retail and food-service markets, has been priced sky-high since the end of 1993, thanks to the floods that year in the Midwest. . . . Meanwhile, Lancaster's automotive products division is struggling with the soaring price of aluminum, from which it makes toolboxes and other accessories for light trucks and vans, and with rising prices of synthetic rubber for its car floor mats and ofplastic resins for truck bed liners.
