Joint product decision analysis The Maplewood Products Company manufactures three wood treatment products in a joint production process. Each product has certain finish and preservative properties that make it unique and useful for certain wood treatment requirements. Cost, production, and price data are presented below for production of the three products during the month.

Total joint product costs for the month were $62,500. Product cost data prepared by the accounting department are presented below.

The cost after split-off of any joint product can be eliminated entirely if Maplewood manage- ment decides not to process a product beyond the split-off point.
