The Commission fined producers of animal feed phosphates

€175 million for creating a cartel operating for 30 years. The case began in 2003 when one firm applied for leniency. The cartel covered most of Europe and allocated market shares, sales quotas and shared customers as well as coordinated prices and sales conditions. It is a serious violation of Article 101 of the Treaty.
