In February 2004, the Oregon’s Medically Needy Program Survey reported the following statistics pertaining to the medically needy population in their state. Due to budget cuts, the Medically Needy Program was eliminated. It had provided Medicare assistance to certain groups who were not eligible for Medicaid but had significant health needs.
