Question:
(Project) In recent years, the so-called target date funds (TDFs) are becoming popular. These are mutual funds with a target date for the investors (usually retirement date) and typically start with a high risky to risk-free assets mix and slowly winding down to a lower ratio. The problem facing the investors is how to evaluate various available TDFs so that the best funds can be chosen. The objective of this project is to use a simplified version of the lifecycle model here to evaluate a given TDF by removing insurance and consumption in the accumulative stage (before retirement).
