a. This film tells the story of Alfred Charles Kinsey, a pioneer in sexology. He published a report in 1948 that represents one of science's first investigations into human sexuality. 

b. This film is an excellent historical introduction to the study of sexuality as well as a primer on the original "Kinsey Scale," which placed people on a spectrum from completely homosexual to completely heterosexual. Many of the concepts from the chapter, such as pleasure, LGBTQ+, and perversions are covered in the film. Kinsey is still a controversial figure; students can reckon with that reality.
