Identifying and Evaluating Alternatives Pamela will graduate from high school at the end of the year and plans to be a computer science major in college. She has developed a list of the most important criteria in deciding which college to attend. Although each of the criteria may have substantial merit, discuss the pros and cons of each:

a. She does not wish to be more than 150 miles from home so she can return home on weekends.

b. Freshmen should not be required to live in the dorms.

Class size should not be greater than 20 students.

d. High school grade point average and standardized test scores should not be a major determinant in admission to the college or in acceptance as a computer science major.

e. Majors should be permitted to take a minimum of 60 semester hours of computer science courses as part of a 120-

semester-hour program.
