I am qualified in mechanical engineering and have worked as a subsea engineer in the oil and gas industry. This involved working on large projects, tackling complex engineering problems. My passion however is in mathematics and I enjoy researching and tutoring in areas such as calculus, algebra, real analysis and number theory. I have helped students at all education levels up to post graduate level and have contributed to them attaining good grades and improving their understanding of the techniques used in math problem solving. Most recently I helped a college level student write up a lab report on destructive testing of metals and I helped them analyse their test data and write a section on the SI system of units and the metric system. Most of the work I do however is in solving math problems using various algebraic methods and theory.
