When performing a dimensional analysis, one of the first steps is to list the primary dimensions of each relevant parameter. It is handy to have a table of parameters and their primary dimensions. We have started such a table for you (Table P7–5), in which we have included some of the basic parameters commonly encountered in fluid mechanics. As you work through homework problems in this chapter, add to this table. You should be able to build up a table with dozens of parameters.
