Search the Internet for mission statements – perhaps the mission statement of your employer, university or college. To what extent do you think people in the organisation find a mission statement useful in achieving organisational goals? Ask six members of the organisation whether they are aware the mission statement exists. Ask those who are aware of its existence what the mission statement contains.
