List and describe at least two EEOC laws that protect employees from discrimination.

You are a new human resources director at the Washington Public Elementary School located in Oregon. On the first day of your job the principal scheduled a meeting with you to present four major human resource issues that currently exist at the school that need to be addressed.
She has asked you to review each of these situations and to prepare a report to her as to how you plan to address these issues. The issues are:
1. There is significant conflict among the teachers. Many teachers avoid each other, and there has been open hostility in some of the departments.
2. There is not a defined disciplinary procedure or policy, and the union has been raising this issue for months. The union is threatening a formal charge if not addressed.
3. A maintenance worker was discharged for poor performance a week ago. Several employees feel this was a wrongful discharge and have been protesting. The union is also backing the discharged employee and plans to confront the issue.
4. There are a few teachers who are not performing well. There have been several complaints by other teachers, parents, and students.
