Use a statistical program to compute the MLEs of the means, variances, and covariances for the complete copper-zinc data described in Chapter 4. Use the formulas shown in Eqs. (7.2) and (7.3) to obtain the regression coefficients for the regression of log MMA values onto inverse copper and zinc values. Be sure to estimate the constant term along with the regression coefficients for invCU and invZN. Validate your results by fitting the regression model for ln MMA as a function of the constant, invCU, and invZN in a structural equation modeling routine in a statistical software program.
