When you have identified an employee who you believe is exhibiting “stage one” behaviors for workplace violence, you should

a. refrain from responding in any way because it is too early to tell if the individual has the propensity to become violent.

b. address the behaviors you have observed, noting especially your concerns that the individual may become violent.

c. address the behaviors you have observed and ask if there is anything you can do to help the employee.

d. call security immediately and examine ways to monitor the employee’s movements while at work.
