We recommend that a BCP audit or review be undertaken before a test. However, if the plan is not being maintained properly, would it be a good idea to run the test anyway, in order to demonstrate the weaknesses in the plan caused by lack of maintenance? Wouldn’t this be a good way to put public pressure on the maintenance role and show how important maintenance is?
