a. Write out the null and alternative hypotheses in words or in symbols.
b. The 2.2.24 dotplot shows the 65 body temperatures above. Based on this dotplot, does it appear the average body temperature is different than 98.6°F? How are you deciding?
c. Th e sample mean body temperature for the 65 females in our sample is 98.39°F and the standard deviation is 0.743°F. Use the Theory-Based Inference applet to find and report a standardized statistic (t-statistic) and a p-value for the test.
d. Based on your p-value, write out a conclusion, being sure to include justification.
