As a teenager, Dropbox founder Drew Houston created an online application that would display all his gaming friends' shared files. When you clicked on one, the app would invite everyone else on the network to download the file, too. So began the idea for Dropbox, which became one of the most popular personal clouds for collaborating with teammates, storing files in a secure location, and accessing them from many different devices.
