The General Social Survey (GSS) uses a random sample of U.S. adults to answer a variety of questions. From the 2018 survey, one question asked was, “On the average day, about how many hours do you personally watch television?” The results of this are in the file TVTime. Put the data in the Theory-Based Inference applet to answer (a)–(c). 

a. Describe the parameter estimated by the survey. 

b. Verify the validity conditions for a theory-based confidence interval. 

c. Use the Theory-Based Inference applet to construct a 95% confidence interval and interpret it in the context of the problem.
