In the ThermoSolver software that comes with the text, go to the Models for gE—Parameter Fitting menu. Find best-fi t model parameters for the ethanol (a) and water (b) system at 74.79°C for the following activity coeffi cient models:

(a) two-suffi x Margules

(b) three-suffi x Margules

(c) Van Laar

(d) Wilson

(e) NRTL 

Use the Plot Data . . . button to plot ln g vs. xa for all the models. Which model do you think best represents the data? Why? The information in the Statistics . . . button may be useful.
