When she developed full-fledged AIDS, she applied for and was awarded Social Security disability benefits. After the instructor’s employer learned of his wife’s total-disability status under the Social Security program and the cause of her disability, it demanded that the plaintiff submit to a blood test to ascertain whether he was HIV-positive.
