How many times do we hear, “When this change is over, will everything be normal again?” Although there is certainly some truth to the incrementalism implied in this statement, there is no truth to its substance. Nothing is ever really done. Everything is always and forever in movement. If the movement of the universe should stop, so would everything in it. We may achieve specific objectives, but they are really a small component of a much larger journey—one that never ends. What is your best way of communicating this reality to your colleagues?
