The physical therapist (PT) is going to help the RN use a mechanical assist device to move a patient to a chair. The RN has not worked with this PT before. The RN and PT must work collaboratively to provide patient care. The RN and PT must both have a clear understanding of their professional scope of practice and the roles of other healthcare team members.
