Does the Maine court have personal jurisdiction over Onslow?

Bickford, a resident of Maine, received hospital bills over a period of several months from Onslow Memorial Hos-pital (Onslow), which had treated a relative of Bickford’s ex-wife. Although Onslow eventually acknowledged that Bickford was not legally responsible for the bills, Onslow continued to pursue the debt through collection and reported the debt as delinquent to Bickford’s credit agencies. Bickford filed suit against Onslow in a Maine state court, alleging a violation of several consumer protection laws. Onslow is located in North Carolina and does not own property or have any agents in Maine.
