Look up a statute of your choosing in your state. You may find it in a print source, a commercial Internet source, or a noncommercial source, such as your state legislature’s website.
1. What source did you use?
2. When was the statute originally enacted?
3. When was the statute last amended (date and public law number)?

4. Did the source you used allow you to update the statute to ensure you had the most current version of the statute?
5. If the answer to number 4 was yes, how were you able to check for updates to the statute? The following exercises present a statute followed by questions concerning the statute.
