Much like physical toxins that cause illness in individuals, toxic behaviors cause illness in organizations. The following is true of both human illness and organizational illness:

a. Illness results from an imbalance in the amount and type of nutrients and cleansing activities.

b. Additional nutrients will lead to the restoration of health.

c. Routine cleansing of waste is an effective means of restoring health.

d. Health is the absence of dysfunction.
