If a customer orders chicken with macaroni and cheese, for a total of $6.48, the cashier might offer an additional small soda or a chicken strip to bring the customer's total up to an even seven bucks. The small soda normally sells for $1.29, but the customer gets "a deal" by paying only $.52 for it. Meanwhile, KFC's sales have increased as well.
