Students are asked to develop an appraisal form.
1. Students should develop their own tool for appraising the performance of an instructor. Look for them to apply concepts discussed in this chapter.
2. Students should present their tools to the class. How similar are the tools? Do they all measure about the same factors? Which factor appears most often? Which do you think is the most effective tool? Encourage students to reflect on the factors that they chose, or did not choose. Share your perspective on what makes good teaching.
