Upscale department store chain Nordstrom recently set its 2025 corporate social responsibility goals. Nordstrom made commitments to improve the environmental sustainability of its operations and product value chains; to improve human rights through positive labor practices and women’s empowerment; and to support families and organizations in the communities it serves. Nordstrom works closely with organizations such as The G7 Fashion Pact, the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, and CDP Supply Chains to align with best practices within the industry. The 2025 goals build from Nordstrom’s 2020 goals, where it sourced more energy from renewables in deregulated markets, achieved 100 percent pay equity for employees, and furthered empower women in its global supply chain. All of the goals are part of Nordstrom’s efforts to operate as a responsible company so that customers, employees, and communities associated with Nordstrom can be proud.
