What’s the secret of success in business? Could it perhaps just be a matter of how tall you are? Let’s investigate. The Fortune 500 list records the 500 richest businesses in the US. In 2005, a study was done of the CEOs (heads) of 250 of the businesses on this list, all of whom were male. It was found that 58% of CEOs in the sample were over 6 feet tall (183 cm). In the US population, 14.5% of adult men are over 6 feet tall.

Design a suitable test to investigate whether this gives evidence that Fortune 500 CEOs are systematically more likely to be over 6 feet tall than men in the US population at large. Carry out the test and interpret your findings.
