Question:

Read the passage below.

You are leading a mountain climbing expedition with a team of climbers who are relatively inexperienced in summiting high-altitude situations. You are paid to make sure they have a good experience, reach the top of the mountain, and make it back down. There is a narrow window of opportunity to be successful in the climb, as weather can be somewhat unpredictable at this altitude and in this part of the world. You have just arrived at the top of the mountain. Your team that you are leading is in trouble. On the way back down the mountain, a terrible storm covers the mountain with blinding snow and wind. Even seeing your hands is virtually impossible. At around 24,ooo feet, one of the climbers on your team has collapsed from the conditions. The other two climbers cannot carry the collapsed team member, and decide to continue down the mountain. You cannot be rescued at this high level of elevation—helicopters cannot fly above 18,000 feet. Your decision is to continue down the mountain with the other two team members and leave the exhausted third member to die alone on the mountain, or to stay with him, and you would also probably die.
