I began tutoring biology as an undergraduate, worked as a teaching assistant as a graduate student, and eventually progressed to a Visiting Assistant Professor at University. From this I have gained experience developing my own lesson plans, quizzes, and exams, as well as distilling down complex subject matter for others to understand. I've also honed my written communication skills and am currently writing a book on Animal Behavior that I hope to eventually publish.
I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert. I’m pretty easy going and I enjoy discussing a wide variety of academic-related subjects. What makes my tutoring style unique is my ability to be flexible to accommodate the many different learning styles that students have. I am able to get to know a student and figure out what they respond to best. My goal as a tutor is to help you achieve your goals and to help you build your confidence as a student. I look forward to working with you and discussing some interesting topics in biology.
