Should citizens have the right to decide whether factory farms move in next to them or into the community? Do CAFOs precipitate environmental injustice by locating in poorer communities? If a CAFO moves in, should residents be compensated for losses to property values, quality of life, or other factors? Should new technologies be allowed until proven harmful, or should corporations have the burden to prove the safety of new technologies?
