In our review of descriptive organizational statistics, we noted that past research has often been developed based on biased views of the organizational landscape (e.g. the misconception that large firms are numerically prevalent). What are some other ‘myths’ about organizations that you think are commonly held among academics or the general public? What research designs could you employ in an effort to falsify those misconceptions and why?
