Eva is about to take a trip away from her family, and she’s concerned about the fact that she doesn’t have a will. Because she left the task of writing one to the last minute, she doesn’t have time to consult an attorney.

So she decides to write up a simple will on her own and take care of the details when she returns from her trip. After writing her will and signing it, Eva gets two of her neighbors to witness it. Her will is as follows:

I, Eva Malone, being of sound mind, declare this to be my last will. I give all that I have to my beloved husband, James Malone. I nominate my daughter, Katie Malone, to be the executrix of my estate, because she is the only one in the family with any sense.
