If you have a hair dryer handy, try supporting a ping-pong ball in a vertical column of air coming from the dryer.
a. Can you get the ping-pong ball to stay in place? How far from the center can the ball wander and still return?
b. Will a tennis ball or a small balloon work? What differences do you note in each of these cases?
