Google’s Teachable Machine https://teachablemachine.withgoogle.com/ is a way for you to experiment with machine learning without having to do any programming. The system allows you to use photos, sounds, and images to recognize media or even physical poses, and classify them according to a machine learning model that you build. Work individually or as a team and build an AI model with Teachable Machine. Then exchange the model with another person or team in your class and have them use and evaluate your model. What insights did they uncover regarding model accuracy or inaccuracy, any model biases, the robustness of the training dataset used, and the utility of such systems? Your instructor may ask your team (and/or their evaluators) to present results in class. Teams looking to go further might explore some of the other projects on the site and elsewhere on the Internet that have used Teachable Machine to create more impressive AI-based projects. And if you can find an alternative to Teachable Machine that you’d like to use, clear that with your instructor and explore the alternative, instead.
