5.6 Because of extreme pressures for a particular application, a 10-ft long pipe within a heat exchanger is made of 2-nom sch 160 pipe (kpipe = 70 Btu/h·ft·°F).

The convective heat transfer coefficients inside and outside of the pipe have been determined to be hi = 1248 Btu/h·ft2·°F and ho = 652 Btu/h·ft2·°F, respectively.

The fouling factors on each side of the pipe are 0.002 h·ft2·°F/Btu.

Determine the UA value of this pipe for both clean and fouled conditions.
