2 The Steve Jobs dilemma – Steve Jobs, the celebrated leader of Apple Inc., positioned Apple as being at the heart of the creative industries. His company was the computing partner of choice for the creative industries, through strengths such as its graphics software and iTunes platform. However, his management style could be abrasive and confrontational, with celebrated examples of him theatrically berating staff (Isaacson, 2011). Critique the strengths and weaknesses of his leadership style drawing on concepts tabled in this chapter.
