At the conclusion of a project, its success can be determined by testing the quality of the end product (the project results). While the duration of a project could be up to a year, to avoid the risk of receiving an unsatisfactory end product, the sponsor is unlikely to leave the assessment until then. He will want to assess the intermediate products.
