“Ecological validity” is the extent to which a measure of a psychological construct predicts people’s behavior in real life. A good measure of wisdom should be able to predict a person’s real-life wisdom. Think of a typical situation in which people need a lot of wisdom. Can you think of a way to “emulate” this situation in a psychological test or questionnaire? What could such a measure look like?
