Review a list of the top shareholders for a company. Take 30 minutes to determine which shareholders are outside investors, which ones are board members and which ones are current or former executives. Compare the amount of stock held by board members to the amount of stock held by outside shareholders. Discuss whether a large outside shareholder deserves a seat on the board.
