1. My vision statement represents an organization that manufactures a gps app. I’m someone who gets lost easily with directions, so the gps is a handy tool for someone like me. Such as the case with other technological advances, gpss become improved upon to try and make our daily lives easier to manage. The situational and contingency leadership theory both showcase my vision statement as they’re more adaptable in the process of staying flexible with alterations in technology. Many of the functions depend on the demands of the product. For example, a clearer graphic design will assist with features that make it easier to read and understand for drivers. Also, updated programmed calculations can help eliminate issues regarding new roads or locations that have been shut down. Each leadership role will play out on what task is required to accomplish the product’s needs.

2. After reading this weeks chapters it had me doing some thinking. I have wanted to start my own wedding planning business for a long time. I finally started back on my degree so that maybe one day I could own my own business. I have loved weddings since i was a little girl. I remember when "a wedding story" came on tlc (back in 1996) and was the first wedding type show i did not miss one show. I see pictures of me being a little girl and staring at the bride in all of them. I was in such awe of their happiness and glow. Now, I want not just myself but my team to be the one that helps them has that contagious smile and bright auroa. The vision statement for my business would be to work together to inspire, help and facilitate the majical feeling every little girl wants and dreams of on their wedding day. I feel in our company my leadership style will be a combination of the contingency approach and path-goal. When planning a wedding you really need a team. I think of the example of david tuterra who has a team of people working with him that he delegates tasks to in regards to what they are best at or are expert at. I will have to work and communicate with them all differently in regards to their own learning style and personality but we have one goal in mind and I will delegate tasks contingent upon their strengths.
